Mumbai, Jan 19: Media Sports Academy, a prestigious association of journalists in Maharastra state has elected Kannadiga Journalist's Association, Maharastra to participate in their annual media cricket cup 2015. In the first round of cricket tournament held between Kannadiga journalist's association and Maharastra times at Wilson college Jimkhana stadium at Cherni road west on Sunday afternoon, January 18, Karnataka times defeated Maharastra times team to win the match.

Kannadiga journalist's association president Chandrashekar Palethady's direction and leadership of honorary chief secretary Rons Bantwal, sports committee executive president Jaya C Poojary and Ramesh J Maroli enabled the Karnataka team to win against Maharastra for the third year in a row.

































The media cup 2015 was inaugurated at Cherni road Police Gymkhana by Vinod Tavde, Maharastra minister of education and sports after batting on Saturday, January 17. Nearly 98 teams have participated in the Media cup this year.

Sports Academy president Jawahar Nadar, honorary secretary Kelwin Joshwa, Sameer Gurav and office bearers were present. Maruti Gaekwad cooperated in the commentary.

Karnataka team consisted of Jaya C Poojary, Ramesh J Maroli, Ravindra R Poojary, Purandara G Ameen, Ashok Devadiga, Bharath A Shetty, Santhosh Bijooru, Dayananda Salian, Harry Sequeira, Suresh Shetty Yeyyadi, Ratnakar Matti and Gopala Trasi. Journalist's association's Gurudatt S Poonja, Sridhar Uchil, Master Raghavendra Salian, Master Tanmaya S Shetty present on the occasion encouraged the Karnataka players.

Rons Bantwal, honorary chief secretary of Kannadiga Journalist's Association thanked those who gave an opportunity for the tournament and those who took part in it. Association president Chandrashekar Palethady and office bearers wished the Karnataka journalist's team well.
