Chennai, Feb 17 (IANS): A total of Rs.1.94 trillion has been invested in Indian mutual funds -both private and public sectors - during the first 10 months of this fiscal, said the market regulator.
According to Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) figures, investors have put in around 1.94 trillion in mutual funds between April 2014 and January 2015.
As per the figures, the net inflow of funds for private sector mutual fund players for the period under review stood at around Rs.1.72 trillion while for the public sector it was around Rs.227 billion.
The industry's total mobilisation for the period were around Rs.91 trillion while the redemptions/repurchases were around Rs.89.78 trillion.
The cumulative assets position of net assets of mutual fund industry as on January 2015 stands at around Rs.11.81 trillion.
