Mangaluru: 36-year-old woman found charred to death at home in Maryhill

Mangaluru, Mar 4: A woman was found charred to death at her house in Maryhill here on the evening of Wednesday March 4.

The deceased has been identified as Vani (36), daughter of Devadas and Nagaveni.

Vani was living with her parents. On Wednesday evening, Devadas and Nagaveni had gone out to get some medicines when the incident took place.

It is learnt that some people who were at an adjacent construction site sensed something burning in the house and immediately informed the fire service. By then Vani's parents too returned and the door was broken up, and Vani's body was found completely charred in fire.

It is not yet known if it was an accidental fire or a case of suicide.

Vani was unmarried and unemployed, sources said. She was alone at home at the time of the tragedy.

Mangaluru rural police arrived at the spot and investigations are on.

    O my God,whatever the reason is,one died in the fire,charred.May her Soul rest in Peace.sad nobody was there to save her.or Chose the time so?Heartfelt sympathy to her parents.to them a great loss of loosing a child .
