It is so very sad that today's youngsters don't for a moment think of any danger and don't take any precaution before venturing into the water. What happens to all the dreams of their parents? They will live to regret every single day for leaving these boys alone who on the pretext of studying do such foolish things . Our heartfelt condolences to the families of the young victims.Every single day we hear and read about these avoidable tragedies and it is always the young who are the victims.May better sense prevail to the young.

That stretch of path is also notorious for chain snatching, eve teasing, and other crimes. Lone women commuters do not feel safe to walk across from Ullal Hoige to southern end of Nethravathi bridge on NH-66. Quite a few assaults on women have taken place there. Ullal police need to patrol the area regularly.

This incident should be an eye opener for other youngsters to take enough precautions while entering into river. At least they can jump with life saving jackets around so that their parents need to have to go through difficulties of loosing their young ones.

Its too dangerous to venture out to the river when there is high tide.. even if you know how to swim it is useless unless you are an expert ... Lets pray for their safety..
