Saudi Arabia evacuates diplomats from Aden

Riyadh, March 28 (IANS): Saudi navy forces have evacuated dozens of Saudi and foreign diplomats from Yemen's main southern city Aden, a media report said on Saturday.

They reached Saudi Arabia after being evacuated in two Saudi naval vessels, Xinhua reported citing Al Arabiya News.

The evacuation came after a coalition of 10 countries led by Saudi Arabia started air raids against Houthi targets in Yemen.

On Friday, the Saudi-led Arab forces carried out a third day of airstrikes which were repelled by intensified anti-aircraft gunfire by the Shia Houthi group that controls Yemen's capital Sanaa.
