Mangalore, Mar 1: The Dakshina Kannada chapter of Karnataka State Aided Primary Schools' Teachers' Association has organized a day-long symposium on education on Tuesday March 6.  A face-to-face with the elected representatives too has been organized on the same day.

This was announced a press conference by association president Raviraj Shetty on Thursday March 1.

The symposium will be inaugurated by district-in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty while MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik will grace the occasion as chief guest.  Former MLC K Balakrishna Bhat will make a presentation on "Role of Aided-Primary schools in Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan."

MLA N Yogish Bhat, Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain, Beltangady MLA Prabhakar Bangera, Sullia MLA Angara, Vittal MLA Padmanabh Kottari, Shankarappa, deputy director (administration) of Department of Public Instructions, Dr Diana F Prabhu, deputy director (development) of Department of Public Instructions, Moses Jayashekhar, deputy coordinator of Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan, Huche Gowda, president of Karnataka State Aided Primary Schools Teachers' Association and Ningayya, general secretary will be the guest on the occasion.

Dakshina Kannada chapter president Raviraj Shetty will preside over the inaugural function.  The valedictory of the symposium will be held on the same evening.

KMK Manjanady, Ramchandra Rao,Gururaj Bhat, Jayanti and Harishchandra Jain were also present at the press confernce.
