Mangalore, Mar 2: Sahodaya Bethany Women's Federation was inaugurated by Sr Lily Ange, superior of Bethany Mother House on Thursday March 1 at Pushpalaya.

The function began with a prayer by members of Shubhodaya Mahila Mandala, Ammunje while Sunitha presented the report.

K A Rohini, honorary president of Federation of Mangalore Taluk Women's Associations was the resource person on the occasion and she trained the gathering on women's rights and various other related issues.

Sr Willberta B S, superior of Sahodaya Bethany Seva Centre presided over the function. Sr Prema, coordinator of Sahodaya was also present on the dais.

Secretary of the Federation Mohini presented a report on the history of the federation.  Federation president Philomena Cutinho welcomed the gathering while Mallika Sidhakatte proposed the vote of thanks.  Sunitha and Kavitha compered the programme.

Various cultural programmes presented by members of women's associations from Mulki, Kodikal, Polali entertained the gathering in the afternoon.  Latha compered the cultural programme and Purnima proposed the vote of thanks.
