Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SS)

Mangalore, Mar 3: A solar traffic signal light at KSRTC bus stand here, will be installed at a cost of Rs 5.5 lac.  The signal light will be sponsored by Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), on request from the city’s traffic police.

MRPL deputy general manager PA Jose recently submitted a consent letter to Dakshina Kannada SP B Dayananda in this regard.

Bharat Electronics will set up the signal lights at KSRTC and also at Bunts Hostel junction, which is sponsored by Canara Bank. T D Pai, deputy general manager of Canara Bank, Mangalore circle, has also given the sanction letter to the SP.

Engineers of Bharat Electronics have already come to the city and inspected the places. The work will commence shortly.
