Shigmotsav is a mixture of mythological float parades, traditional folk dances, Romtamell, fancy dress and so on.
This festival is very similar to the idea of carnival but in Shigmotsav the focus is mainly on mythological themes and tradition.
Shigmotsav is held in all the major cities and towns in Goa, like Ponda, Panaji, Mapusa, Margao, Valpoi, Quepem, Vasco and others.
