Dubai, Apr 23: Women’s Health Center of Thumbay Hospital, Dubai is organizing a special Mom’s Day Out on May 2 in the hospital premises.
“As part of our corporate social responsibility and community service, we have been holding prenatal and antenatal classes for pregnant women for the last five years in our hospitals in Ajman, Sharjah and Fujairah. This unique event is an extension of our pregnancy classes, which are very popular and have benefited over 2500 women till date,” says Akbar Moideen Thumbay, director healthcare, Thumbay Group UAE.
This will be a regular event at the hospital and we would like as many women as possible to take advantage of this event, he added. We hope that our desire to help expecting mothers to understand pregnancy and take necessary precautions will be successful.
Mom’s Day Out will include health, wellness and fun events for expecting, new and experienced moms. The event is offered free. The activities will include talks and interactive sessions, which will address all queries and misconceptions about pregnancy. Companies will demonstrate useful prenatal and antenatal products. Other products and items on display will be baby strollers, beauty products, nutritional supplements, organic mother and baby food, baby bags ‘n’ shoes, maternity clothes and accessories, baby and mother gifts, pregnancy and parenting books etc.
“It is going to be very unique and a different experience for young, expecting and also for experienced mothers. First time mothers especially will have lots of fun, workshops and talks, exhibition, eat and mingle, exercise demonstration, quiz and children's play area,” said one of the marketing team members of Thumbay Hospital. Expecting mothers can register for the special maternity packages at the event.
The event will also have gifts and prizes for all participants, beauty and makeup sessions, and ‘Fit & Fab’ contest. The contest has three categories for moms to be, new moms and experienced mothers (with children of 5 yrs and above). The contest details will be announced through the hospital website soon.
There are exciting prizes on offer and the contest will also include sunshine face, beautiful hair and super smart mom categories. Eminent doctors and personalities will judge the contest, according to the organizers.
