Conference on new challenges in dentistry held at GMU

Ajman, Apr 26: College of Dentistry, a constituent college of Gulf Medical University organized the 7th Annual Dental Conference on New Challenges in Dentistry on April 24 at GMU campus in Ajman. More than 125 dental doctors, healthcare professionals and students from all over UAE attended the conference. GMU Provost Prof. Gita Ashok Raj presented mementos to all the invited speakers.














Earlier in his welcome note, Prof. Mohamed Said Hamed, Dean College of Dentistry, GMU said that “the conference was a distinctive educational event with speakers from renowned institutions like Dubai School of Dental Medicine, University of Sharjah and College of Dentistry GMU”. We strive to maintain high standards of education and impart world class teaching and training to our students, he added. Prof. Abdel Wahab El Hamy, a senior practitioner from Dubai expressed his happiness of being a part of the conference. He said that the college is very active in its scientific activities, just as much as in the academic program that it offers. I am highly impressed with the college, he added.

The scientific session included state-of-the-art lectures delivered by experts from Dubai School of Dental Medicine, and other universities in UAE apart from the faculty from the College of Dentistry, GMU.

The conference was accredited by the Ministry of Health UAE for 8 CME Hrs and was organized by the College of Dentistry, as part of its professional development programs.
