Mangalore, Aprl 11: Kinnigoli Grama Panchayat (GP) has bagged many awards and received accolades from all quarters for successfully implementing and running the Rajiv Gandhi drinking water Plan to the people. In this connection a team of 15 members from Devadurga and Raichur panchayat consisting the panchayat president, secretary and members visited Kinnigoli panchayat  in order study the water resources and water distribution system.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Sharanabasappa, assistant director of water development department of Raichur ZP said that Kinnigoli panchayat has successfully adopted the Rajiv Gandhi drinking water plan and the villagers are happy about the water distribution and availability. Several panchayats after taking cue from Kinnigoli panchayat are implementing the steps of Kinnigoli panchayat.  Those panchayat which have followed Kinnigoli panchayat model have got success too.

Kinnigoli panchayat Member William Cardoza, ZP member Pramod Kumar were present on the occasion. Secretary Himakar welcomed the visiting team.
