Kundapur, Apr 11: A private bus going to Kollur from the city rolled down the gorge at Hemmady near here killing the bus agent on Wednesday April 11 evening. Almost 30 passengers of the bus have sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The deceased has been identified as Sudhir (32), a resident of Madur. He was the agent of Sri Durgamaba bus which rolled into the gorge after driver lost control over it.
The bus was on its way to Kollur. The passenger later said that it was owing to reckless driving that the driver lost control over the bus which ultimately resulted in the tragedy.
Sudhir, who died on the spot after falling underneath the bus, had married only six months ago. The bus driver is said to be missing after the accident.
Kundapur police have registered a case in this regard.
