Mangalore, Apr 17: Former ZP president Mamata Gatti has been appointed as the president of D K district women Congress.
She will be taking charge from Kalavati who was heading this post for the past 4 years. With the support of Veerappa Moily, ex-chief minister of the state, Kalavati was appointed as president of D K district women Congress. Since her achievement as president did not come up to the expectations of high command, she has been replaced by Mamata Gatti as per the order of High Command.
Hailing from Kolvad of Bantwal taluk, Mamata Gatti reached the highest posts in the party within a short period. She lost the top post of ZP only a few months ago owing to withdrawal of support to Congress by three JD (S) members.
