Mangalore, Apr 17: The newly-constructed chapel of Sacred Heart of Jesus at Thodambil near Bantwal will be blessed and inaugurated by Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore on April 19 at 9.30 am.

Bishop Emeritus Ignatius Pinto of Bangalore and other priests and religious will participate in the Solemn Eucharist. 

The stage programme at 11 am will be inaugurated by union minister Oscar Fernandes and will be presided over by Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore.

Thodambila is on the way to Polali from B C Road.  The chapel is surrounded by picturesque hills and plains, fields and estates.  The Sacred  Heart Primary School is also situated in the same campus.  The foundation stone for the chapel was laid by Bishop Aloysius on June 26, 2004.
