Congress leader attacked in Thane; hospitalised

Jun 20 (Mumbai Mirror): The Congress group leader in the Thane Municipal Corporation and his friend were tonight attacked by some unidentified persons here, police said.

According to police, in the incident which occurred at 9.30 P.M. in the Srinagar locality, Congress leader Sanjay Gadigoankar suffered injuries to the head.

Gadigoankar was rushed to a private hospital, police said, adding that a case is yet to be filed in this connection.
