Mumbai, Oct 5: Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam 3: The Conclusion continued its strong run at the box office, recording an improvement in collections on its first Sunday and crossing the Rs 150-crore mark in India within three days of release.
According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 61 crore net in India on Sunday, October 4. Its India gross collection stood at Rs 211.80 crore, while its overseas gross collection was reported at Rs 61 crore, taking the worldwide gross to Rs 272.80 crore.
The Sunday's collection marked a 14 per cent increase over Saturday, when the film earned Rs 53.50 crore. The movie had opened with Rs 62 crore on Friday, October 2.

The film recorded an overall occupancy of 56 per cent across 17,323 shows on Sunday. It had registered 60.1 per cent occupancy across 15,759 shows on the opening day, while Saturday's occupancy stood at 48.1 per cent across 16,868 shows.
The film recorded 24,12,130 footfalls on its third day, taking its total footfall count over the opening weekend to 69,14,170.
The Hindi 2D version recorded an overall occupancy of 64.29 per cent on Sunday. Morning shows registered 42.38 per cent occupancy, while afternoon, evening and night shows recorded 72.08 per cent, 80.46 per cent and 62.23 per cent, respectively. The evening shows emerged as the strongest-performing slot.
The film has also generated discussion in Kerala, with reports indicating a positive response from many Malayalam-speaking viewers to its original storyline and conclusion.
Drishyam 3: The Conclusion follows Vijay Salgaonkar years after he managed to evade the law. His past comes under renewed scrutiny when Meera Deshmukh returns seeking revenge. The situation becomes more complicated with the arrival of a powerful new Crime Branch officer, who challenges Vijay's carefully constructed alibis and attempts to break through his psychological defences.
The first two Hindi instalments of the franchise were direct remakes of the Malayalam films starring Mohanlal. However, the third Hindi instalment follows an original narrative and does not directly remake the Malayalam third film.
Director Abhishek Pathak had earlier spoken about taking a separate creative direction for the new film. Ajay Devgn has also said that he sought Mohanlal's approval before the team proceeded with the original storyline.
The decision has allowed the Hindi franchise to move beyond a direct adaptation and present audiences with a different version of the story and its conclusion.
