Adil was a seventh standard student of a private English medium school at Chettunguzhi. When he was enjoying the scene of the sea that has become resurgent since the onset of monsoon season, a huge wave suddenly hit him and dragged the boy away with it.

Basheer, who used to reside at Talangere Kunnil till recently, had shifted residence to Nellikunje about six months back.

Some local fishermen and other citizens who were near the spot, jumped into the sea, brought the boy out of the sea and admitted him into a hospital. However, he could not be saved.
