Mumbai, Jul 2: Kannada department of Mumbai university held a specialprogramme on the subject of limitations of research at J P Nayak hallof Kalina Campus at Santacruz east on Tuesday morning, June 30.

Dr S M Hiremutt, Professor of Kannada in Gulbarga University gave alecture on the subject. Mumbai university head of the department ofKannada Dr G N Upadhya who presided over the programme praised DrHiremutt as the multi talented individual. He appreciated the contribution of Dr Hiremuut as the scholar, author, poet, dramatist,film actor etc.

Dr Upadya felicitated Dr Hiremutt on behalf of Mumbai university. Healso honored the recently appointed Vice Chancellor of Mumbaiuniversity, Dr Sanjay Deshmukh on the occasion.

Mamatha Rao, Sujnyani Biradar, Anasuya Galagali, Veenashastri,Shailaja Hegade, Shivaraj M G, Rama Udupa, Durgappa Kotiyavar,Revannasidda Bagali, Amara Narayanakar and others participated.Comedian Shamala Prakash sang a welcome song. Kannada departmentassistant Dr Poornima S Shetty welcomed and compered the programme.Niranjan C S proposed Vote of thanks.
