Mumbai, July 20: Karnataka Sangha, Mumbai held a programme ofdiscussion on literature at the Samarasa Bhavan at Mahim west on July18.

Well known author and social activist Roopa Hassan said that it is unfortunate that children are being neglected in the country. The progress of the country depends on children. The indifference towards the welfare of children and farmers has shown that the system in the
country is on the path of disaster, she said expressing herdispleasure.

Sangha Vice president B G Nayak and Honorary treasurer M D Rao honoredRoopa Hassan with a shawl, memento and articles.

In the discussion programme that followed, Dr S K Bhavani, Ravi RAnchan, Dr Mamatha Rao, Sushila Devadiga, Mohan Marnad, Hema Ameen,Sripathi Hegde, Dr Bharathkumar Polipu, Srinivas Jokatte and M N Gudigot into relevant conversation.

Sangha honorary secretary Omdas Kannangar welcomed, introduced Roopa,compered the programme and proposed Vote of thanks.
