Mumbai: Billavara Association celebrates Gurupurnima

Mumbai, Aug 1: Billavara Association Mumbai celebrated Gurupurnima at Billava Bhavan in Santacruz east on Friday August 1.





















Association president Nithyananda D Kotian, Shashi Nithyanand and honorary president Jaya C Suvarna lit the traditional lamp and set the celebrations in motion. They garlanded the statue of Brahmashree
Narayanaguru and paid their respects to him.

Subhash Mabiyan, Santhosh Poojary and Ganesh Poojary conducted the religious rituals with regard to Gurupoornima. They conducted Pooja, Maha Arathi and distributed prasada. Social and religious committee president Mohan D Poojary led the prayer.

The celebrations were held out of the fund created by former association president L V Ameen family. The family and distinguished guests were honored with shawls on the occasion.

Association vice president Raja V Salian, Bhaskar V Bangera, Shanker D Poojary and Dr U Dhananjay Kumar, honorary chief secretary Dharmapal G Anchan, honorary chief treasurer Mahesh Karkal, honorary joint secretary Dhananjay S Kotian, Harish G Salian, Premanath P Kotian, honorary joint treasurer Shivarama S Poojary, Sadashiva A Karkera, Mohan D Poojary, Sevadal head Ganesh K Poojary, former president L V Ameen, former Bharath Bank executive president Vasudeva R Kotian, directors M B Kukyan, Bhaskar M Salian, Chandrashekar S Poojary, Gangadhar J Poojary, Suryakanth J Suvarna, Jyothi K Suvarna, leaders Rajashekar Kotian, Ravindra A Ameen, Thonse Sanjeeva Poojary, Nilesh Kotian, Bannanje Ravindra Ameen, Akshaya monthly magazine editor Dr Ishwar Alevoor, members of association working committee and devotees were present on the occasion.
