Mumbai, Aug 4: The inauguration programme of St John''s Institute of Humanities and Science managed by Udupi origin Aldel Education Trust was held at the college campus at Palghar, Thane on Monday August 3.
Bellary diocese bishop Fr Dr Henry D'' souza inaugurated the college after prayers.
The programme was presided by Aldel Education Trust executive president Albert W D'' souza. Karnataka Bank CEO and managing director P Jayarama Bhat who was present as chief guest cut the ribbon. People

Bishop Fr Dr Henry D'' souza advised the students to make achievement as their aim. The bishop was felicitated with a shawl considering his contribution in the field of education.
“Aldel Education Trust has already become the guiding light for thousands of children through the institute of engineering, pharmacy and research and management educational institutes. St John Science,
Commerce and Humanities College is being started as per the wishes of the local people and we hope to make it a model in the country,” said trust executive president Albert D'' souza in his keynote address.
Trust secretary Elwina A D'' souza, St John technical campus advisor Dr S Krishnamoorthy, MMS College education official professor Thomas Lobo and St John Institute of Humanities and Science principal Anil Kumar Chowdhari were present on the dais.
A silent prayer was offered for late A P J Abdul Kalam, former president of India. Fr John Rumavo of education trust read the Bible and lead the prayers. St John Institute of Pharmacy and Research
