Islamabad, Sep 3 (IANS): The International Labour Organisation has launched a Gender Sensitive Labour Inspection System to check the disparities faced by women in the job sector in Pakistan, the media reported on Thursday.
ILO country director Francesco d' Ovidio said the system will ensure equality and non-discrimination, Radio Pakistan reported.
He said this system is meant to assist labour inspectors by providing measurable indicators for gauging progress against gender-inclusive targets.
The director added that it will also promote decent employment in the country.
According to Labour Force Statistics (LFS) 2012-2013, a total of 12.51 million Pakistani females of various ages are in employment of some sort.
