Apoorva Mukhija’s Rs 2.5 lac daily income sparks debate

Mumbai, Jul 5: Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as 'The Rebel Kid' on social media, is back in the headlines after a report claimed she earns around Rs 2.5 lac a day through brand deals, videos and reality show appearances. Business Today estimated her social media empire at a whopping Rs 41 cr.

The revelation sparked a social media storm after an IIT alumnus shared a viral post comparing his academic struggles with Apoorva's online success. “Studied 14 hrs a day to crack IIT... Today, not even 100 people know me,” the post read, contrasting it with Apoorva’s fame and fortune earned through “reels, red lipstick, semi-nudes and BC MC as fillers.”

The post triggered a wave of reactions. While some echoed the IITian's frustration, others slammed the comparison. “She chased fame and got it, you chased IIT and achieved it. Comparing both is unfair,” one user wrote.

Apoorva recently featured in the reality series The Traitors hosted by Karan Johar and debuted in films with Nadaaniyan, alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Earlier this year, she was criticised for comments made on India's Got Latent, adding to her controversial social media persona.
