Ministers who missed RaGa meet may be dropped from Cabinet

Bengaluru, Oct 13 (India Today) : As many as 15 ministers of the Congress government in Karnataka are in serious trouble, as the party high command has decided to initiate disciplinary action against them for failing to mark their presence during vice-president Rahul Gandhi's trip to Karnataka last week.

The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) had issued standing instructions to all the ministers of the Siddaramaiah government to be present when Rahul toured the state extensively. However, senior leaders like Horticulture Minister Shyamnur Shivashankarappa, Housing Minister MH Ambarish, Textiles Minister Baburao Chinchansur and 12 others were not present when Rahul was on visit.

According to party sources, AICC general secretary (Karnataka in-charge) Digvijaya Singh, who took note of the absent ministers, has informed the KPCC to issue show-cause notices to them. "It is a clear sign of disrespect towards the Congress vice-president. They (ministers) were supposed to be present for all the events attended by Rahulji. Their absence amounts to serious violation of our code of conduct. We will take disciplinary action as well," a KPCC source said.

Many of the senior ministers, who failed to greet Rahul, are reportedly not on good terms with Siddaramaiah.

Shivashankarappa and Ambarish in particular are unhappy with the CM's working style. There are speculations they might even be dropped from the Cabinet during the reshuffle later this month.

"Many of the ministers, who were not present during Rahul's visit, are on their way out from the Council of Ministers. They must have thought that meeting or greeting Rahul will not make any difference to their status considering that they are most likely to be dropped from the Council. That could be one of the reasons for staying away," said a senior Congress leader.

Another camp in the KPCC was of the view that the ministers stayed away during Rahul's visit to demonstrate that all was not well with the Siddaramaiah government.

That is the problem with Congress party. At least Priyanka should have taken interest but it is too late now. One who is trying is lacking both oratory skills and the power in his speech/voice.

Am sure if its by respect then offcourse he will tell Pappus Name to make him More happy.
Please watch that video, u may understand what is real, but still u will not agree.

On October 1st 2013: Siddarammaya told that illigal mining had the full support of the govt.
Is that by respect towards illigal Mining?

On winning from Varuna Assembly seat he thanked "Sonia Gandhi", Rahul Gandhi and "Manmohan GANDHI"
is that thats by respect to Gandhi family????

Recently He referred Sonia Gandhi instead of Indira Gandhi.
"Sonia Gandhi was a super power Prime Minister of India"
is that to make Sonia Gandhi happy???????

One thing I have observed over the period of time!
To be a successful politician not only in India, even else where,
One should possess and develop a good oratory skills and should be revolutionary speaker.
Through economics and political science, they can't climb a ladder of success.
Some parties realized it long back and are developed.
Political parties should start public speaking coaching classes and intending politicians should join them! No short cut!

I really wonder what the jaadooo the great Gandhi family did to all of you who are blindly following them, irrespective of the complete dominance by a woman and a son. Irrespective of all the scams, evidences we got on their unaccountable properties which they gathered in these years, the arrogance mature of Mr. Vadhra just because he is son in law of the great lady Sonia, Rahul being projected a yuvaraj where as there are so many very very senior and suitable leaders who can be crowned to lead the party at this crucial juncture... irrespective of all these.... why people like you follow them blindly.... never answered question.

Where are the court cases ? Where is the so called 'looted money' ? No coalition government and such a big majority at the Centre and still no arrests ? Haryana and Rajasthan govt. also with the BJP but Vadra is still a free man, why ? Where is the evidence to prosecute and convict him ??? When a Chaiwala can be so arrogant why wont a person whose 3 generations of in-laws have been the PMs of India of which two are martyrs not be so ? I am not condoning arrogant behaviour but only giving a reason why some people behave that way.
Don't you see the blindness of the blind bhakts of a party loaded with communal fanatics who dont hesitate to lynch a man to death for eating beef and also have corrupt members in it too ?
Are you saying that the BJP is a party of saints ?

    wow Bhale Congress walo,
reshuffle will be done based on how much they scared for M. RG, not based on how they work, what is their achievement.
If they keep Mr. RG happy he will be Minister or else just MLA and may be in next election they will not get B form also from Congress.
as per senior leader of congress its is clear that in congress they are respecting RG just for the post, who are list in "likely to be dropped" not respecting him as it will not help.

so guys think what about Mr. Siddarammaya doing to retain in CM post??? how much hard work he is doing to make Mr. RG happy always????

I feel that govt threten to those police officers to suspend from duty if they fail to attend in farmers dress in Mr. RGs discussion with farmers.

its clear that no one respecting him in congress as every one know what is his capacity. But just for Post every one is praising him.
