UAE's Al Ahli enter AFC Champions League final


Dubai, Oct 21 (IANS): South Korean defender Kwon Kyung-won's last-minute goal gifted UAE giants Al Ahli from Dubai a final berth of the AFC Champions League.

In Tuesday's match here, Al Ahli beat Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia 3-2 in the second leg of the semifinal and advanced with a 4-3 aggregate win, reported Xinhua.

In the final, Al Ahli will face the winner of the other semifinal which will be decided on Wednesday between China's Guangzhou Evergrade and Japan's Gamba Osaka. Guangzhou won the first leg 2-1 at home on September 30.

Al Ahli is the first UAE club to reach the final in 10 years.
