Mumbai: Haleangadi Janaki Y Nagesh passes away

Mumbai, Nov 3: Former activist of Billavara Association women's wing, wife of late Nagesh, Janaki Nagesh Karkera(73) passed away on Sunday November 1 late night, at Vashi Hirnandaniya Portis hospital after a brief illness. She was temporarily staying with her younger son at Balaji towers, Shanti Niketan Housing society.

She was the wife of Udupi Katpadi Enagudde origin Y Nagesh who has been an active member of Billavara Association Mumbai for six decades and the director of Bharath Bank. She has left behind two sons Praful Chandra and Sandeep, daughter Saritha and a large number of friends and relatives.

Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary, minister Vinaya Kumar Sorake, national Billavara Maha Mandala president, Bharath Bank executive president Jaya C Suvarna, Billavara Association Mumbai president Nithyananda D Kotian, honorary chief secretary Dharmapal G Anchan, office bearers Raja V Salian, Bhaskar V Bangera, Shanker D Poojary, Dr U Dhananjay Kumar, Mahesh C Karkal, women's wing executive president Shakuntala K Kotian, youth wing executive president Nilesh Poojary Palimaru, former president L V Ameen, hundreds of members, Bharath Bank vice president advocate Rohini J Salian, former president V R Kotian, managing director C R Mulki, C T Salian, Ashok M Kotian, Dr Sunitha M Shetty, film producer Rajashekar Kotian, businessmen Surendra A Poojary, Harish G Ameen, Thonse Sanjeeva Poojary, Srinivasa Karkera and several elite expressed their condolences on the demise of Janaki Y Nagesh.

The last rites of the deceased were held on Monday morning, at Sanpada crematorium. Several elite people paid their last respects and participated in them.
