Saudi Arabia to behead 50 convicted of terrorism offences

Jeddah, Nov 28 (ABP) : In the next few days, Saudi authorities are all set to behead 50 men convicted of terrorism offences; among those facing execution are three young men who were juveniles when they were arrested.

According to an article published in the newspaper Okaz, families of the accused and concerned human-rights organisations have convinced that the executions are imminent.

The newspaper has close links to the Saudi Ministry of the Interior.

As per the plan, the beheading of these men will take place in several cities across the kingdom, most likely after Friday prayers, sources said.

It is pertinent to mention here that Saudi Arabia already this year has carried out at least 151 beheadings. But these would be the first that deal with allegations of terrorism.

According to media reports, in 2014, a total of 90 were executed but none was for terrorism offences. It is believed that seven of the condemned men are Shia from the region of Al-Awamiyah in the oil-rich Eastern Province. Since long Saudi Shia have protested over discrimination and mistreatment by the Sunni central government in the country.

A leading Shia cleric, Sheikh Nimr al Nimr, arrested in 2012, in a shootout with security forces, is among those thought to be facing the death sentence.

It must be noted here that Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq are among world’s top users of death penalty, according to reports.

No doubt they deserve more that death penalty…..But look at the hypocrisy of few so called intellectual Indians…. When Memon was hanged for Mumbai Bomb Blast case, people like Shobha De wrote an article in leading English Newspaper that “Just imagine the pain of a mother who is losing her son on his birth day”!!!! According to Shobha De people who died in the bomb blast were not deserved to celebrate their birth day nor their mothers’ or beloved were not aware of their birth day????

    Many crime deserves death penalty!

Majority of criminals like rapist, murderer, traitors cant change their mindset and continue their crime till they can.

The only thing that keeps criminals abide law is harsh punishment! but some people never learn to be a good citizen..

Most people have supported the death penalty in Saudi, but when India wanted to hang convicted terrorist Yakub Memon, there were so many (perhaps) of those same people who are for the death penalty for terrorist.

Hence, if Saudi utes, it is good but if India does it then bad.

Saudi Arabia is a country fully adhered to Islamic rule. Islam is a peaceful religion and terrorism or killing innocents is against its tenets.

And the decision to behead this big number of deviated souls by Saudi Arabia is the proof that Islam is totally against terrorism.

And this is a slap on those who spread false propaganda that the Islam is the religion of terrorism, just because of few rotten minds in the society.

Death sentence will just end the life & sufferings. These criminals should be imprisoned for life with food for just survival. They should feel the pain of old age, disease & loneliness. They should beg for death.....this is the best punishment.....

Nobody will batting for terrorists in Gulf countries. Police will record the details from the culprits during the interrogation, that is final. Nobody will dare to talk on behalf of terrorists in public, like Owaisi did in India. Same law we need in India to curb the terrorism.

Gulf countries are not democratic country, hence cant raise or talk on any subject which the Kingdom decides.

If there is any subjugation, then people should have the freedom/rights to express it. Else its the same as leading a prisoners life.

Appreciate of you agreeing of implementing Saudi Law. But let it not be biased only specific to deal with Terrorist. Let it be implemented to all crimes to any individual irrespective of rich or poor, politician or common man, or a person of any Religion or organization.

Saudi Law is based on Islamic Shariah, so will our country and its fellow men will accept Shariah Law? :D

In our country, almost 80% of people who are facing terror charges are innocent and are fabricated to terror charges.

If there takes place any true genuine inquiry without being biased to any Religion, Political parties or organization but based on honesty and truthfulness, then almost 80% of those who are languished in jail of Terror charges will be released.

Before any judgement from court is passed, our Media is so wise and judgmental that it will straight away categories them as Terrorist and ruin their lives along with their families.

Only God can provided justice to those who are innocent and of whose cases are fabricated.

It's a very good move we too should in India should adopt this punishment than definitely crime will reduce and like Saudi they should behead in public than the public will see it and will be away from crime
We in India don't show even the face of culprits
It's a good thing they give punishment in public
Even if he is a juvenile same punishment to be give
HE HAS KNOWLEDGE TO DO CRIME
    THEN HE SHOULD FACE CONSEQUENCE

In what sense are you talking? How can you show the face of a convict until court passes judgement?

What if the caught person is innocent and produced before the court?

India is not an Islamic country where the shariah law of beheading is implied. If it had implemented shariah law then absolutely the beheading would have been made in public, but not until the convict is proved of his/her charges. The same is applied in Saudi. No face of convict is shown until he/she has been proven by court.
