Bantwal: Students of Sri Rama Vidya Kendra exhibit impressive dexterity, adventurism

Bantwal, Dec 16: A number of mass presentations made by 3,132 students of Sri Rama Vidya Kendra at Kalladka in the taluk, which spoke volumes about their grit, physical prowess, practice and patriotism, created an atmosphere of awe and thrilled the audience on Tuesday December 15 evening. All these shows which were picture perfect and movements that were perfectly synchronized and rhythmical, succeeded in showcasing their adventurism and concern for environment and wildlife protection, and also brought forth patriotism hidden in their hearts.

Right from tiny tots, to students of college took part wholeheartedly in the sports festival which went on from 6 pm to 8.30 pm in the spacious ground of the institution. The perfection with which the students presented the programmes, in spite of being on such a massive scale, came in for lavish praise. March past, children's dance, ghosh presentation, dandiya, martial arts, Yogasana, Deeparati, Malkhamb, mass show by primary students, skating show, programme on conservation of forests, folklore dance, balancing of single and two-wheelers, and attractive mass formations presented by high school students depicting national integration were unique and inspirational to say the least.

College students in uniforms marched to the rhythm of Ghosh like disciplined soldiers in different formations. College girl students with guns in hand showcased their dexterity in balancing of guns. A number of dances to the tune of different musical instruments provided sumptuous entertainment and inspiration to the people backed by mellifluous music. The 'Jadekolata' involving weaving of the plaits and undoing them to the rhythm of a song which hailed Lord Srikrishna came of beautifully as a piece of art.

Martial art, which is a skill to fight during wars without being armed, self defence Karate exhibited by girl students, and adventure pieces as well as Yogasana which enable people to control body parts at will without using any equipment came in for wholehearted appreciation.

Artistic formations created in the ground by high school students holding lamps, using of sun rays, creating of India with the help of lamps, and memorials which paid tributes to Dr A P J Abdul Salam, Ashok Singhal, and Na Krishnappa, were meaningful.

Folk sport which helps to improve fitness of body, and special Yogasana presented on turning Malkhambs erected on bottles kept the people on their toes. Dance to Marathi song, skating, garbha dance presented by college students, and flower formations also were highly impressive.

The students also brought before the people thrilling sequences, adventure over motor bicycle, drill with fire, and a number of other skillful and impressive presentations. At the end, 827 students of the high school created artistic designs by jumping rhythmically under floodlights, and recreation of launching of rocket to Mars and Indian satellite at Mars were beautiful.

Each of these shows comprising hundreds of students together upheld the level of discipline, mutual cooperation, self confidence, adventure, determination, active participation, patriotism and others. Thousands of people enjoyed every minute of the programme.

A number of dignitaries including union minister, Nitin Gadkari, witnessed the magic which unfolded in front of their eyes backed by the efforts of convener of Kalladka Sri Rama Vidya Kendra, Dr Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka, and team of teaching staff.
