Mumbai: Chinnara Bimba celebrates annual children's festival

Mumbai, Jan 9: 'Chinnara Bimba', a school for young children of Karnataka origin being run under the leadership of Prakash Bhandary celebrated annual children's festival at Kurla east Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium of Bantara Bhavana, on January 2.
















Speaking after inaugurating the programme after lighting the traditional lamp, Prakash Bhandary said that he is pleasantly surprised by the discipline of children here. “Their uniform regardless of their religion or caste helps them mix freely. Children really are the assets of the country,” he said.

Bantara Sangha president Karnire Vishwanath Shetty who presided over the programme said that childhood is an important stage in our lives. If good values are inculcated in the minds of children, they are sure
to grow as good citizens. Chinnara Bimba does the work of spreading the beauty of our language and makes it grow. May the work of Prakash Bhandary be an example for others, he said.

Chief guest Bantara Sangha convened S M Shetty educational institute executive president Jayarama Shetty said that excellent training is available here for growing children. Bhavani Shipping company Mumbai executive president K D Shetty said that he saw the future of the country in the children. We should join hands with Prakash Bhandary in a rare programme such as this, he said. Billavara Association president Nithyananda Kotian expressed his happiness at the achievement of Chinnara Bimba.

Another guest, Kadandale Suresh Bhandary said that if asked, we can say that the children should be like in Chinnara Bimba. Bantara Sangha women's wing executive president Lata Jayarama Shetty said that she
has become dumb looking at the talents of the children. Another guest Panduranga Shetty wished the children well.

Surendra Kumar Hegde in his keynote address explained the way Chinnara Bimba has grown. Chinnara Bimba founder Vijayakumar Shetty, Surendra Kumar Hegde, founder president Pooja Prakash Bhandary, executive president Naina P Bhandary, Chinnara Bimba committee members Thalipadiguthu Bhaskara Shetty, Ramesh Rai, Jagadish Rao, Ramesh Rai, Nithyananda Belavayi. Sujatha Shetty, children Pranam Shetty, Ankitha Rai, Prajna Shetty and others were present. Pavithra Devadiga, Dikshitha Kothari, Hastha Shetty, Vikki Shetty, Prajwal Shetty, Sriraksha Shetty, Supriya Udupa and others introduced the guests. Prakash Bhandary, Pooja Bhandary, Naina Bhandary and children honored the guests.

Dr Poornima S Shetty and children Darshan Shetty and Keerthi Shetty compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
