Mumbai: Billava Jagruthi Balaga holds sports festival

Mumbai, Jan 18: Billava Jagruthi Balaga held their sports festival for the year 2016 at Karnataka Sporting Association grounds, Church Gate on Sunday January 17 morning. Balaga president N T Poojary lit the traditional lamp and set the festival in motion.



























Kannada Sangha Santacruz president and Billavara Association Mumbai former president L V Ameen were the chief guests. Balaga founder president Sooru C Karkera and honorary president Suresh S Poojary present as guests of honour presented prizes and certificates to the winners and congratulated all the participants of the sports event.

Dadar, Tara J Kotian, Girija Chandrashekar, Supriya V Kotian, local committee office bearers and members were present.

President N T Poojary presented flower bouquets to Laxmana Poojary Koderi, Dr Nithesh Karnire, Sadananda Poojary and Dinesh Poojary for their special service and honoured them.

Balaga honorary chief secretary Keshava K Kotian compered the programme. He also announced the unanimous election of Billava Chamber of Commerce and Industries executive president N T Poojary and twelve directors on the occasion.

Youth wing executive president Mahendra Sooru Karkera welcomed all present. Harish G Poojary introduced the guests. Laxmana Poojary Koderi and Bhaskara Karnire conducted the sports event. Youth wing secretary J M Kotian proposed the vote of thanks.
