Mangalore, Sep 19: Locals of Kudroli laid siege and staged an agitation on the night of Tuesday September 18 to MESCOM office. They were protesting in front of the office of MESCOM, Mannagudde, in the city following irregularities in power supply for the past few days in and around Kudroli.

There has been regular disruptions in power supply for the past 10 days causing a great deal of inconvenience to the local residents. Moreover all requests made by locals have fallen on deaf ears as power cuts continued even on Tuesday, declared the agitators angrily expressing their deep anguish.

In this connection the MESCOM officials were bombarded with queries by the agitators, demanding an explanation for the alleged harassment.

On their part the officials responded by stating that they were constrained to take this step of terminating power at regular intervals, on account of load shedding.
