Mangalore, Sep 20: An organized struggle for the inclusion of Tulu in the 8th schedule of Indian constitution is the need of an hour, said well-known dramatist Kasargod Chinna.

While speaking at the Sadanand Suvarna endowment lecture, organized by Karnataka Tulu Academy on Wednesday September 19, he opined that, the struggle for the inclusion of Tulu language in the 8th schedule lacks unity among the activists right now. Hence, the Tuluvas should show unity for this cause.

At the same time Tulu dramatist Muddu Moodubelle delivered Sadanand Suvarna endowment lecture on ‘Tulu Theatre.’ M A Ibrahim and Umesh Rao Yekkar were felicitated on this occasion. Endowment donor Sadanand Suvarna was present on the dais.

M K Sitaram Kulal, Academy president, presided over the function.

B N Harish Boloor welcomed the gathering. Dr Gananath Yekkar proposed vote of thanks.
