Mumbai: BSKBA holds summer camp for member's children

Mumbai, Jun 15: The youth wing of BSKB Association, Sion, here held a two day annual summer camp at Nerul, Ashraya for the children of members. 25 children participated and benefited from the camp.




The camp that was held on Friday June 10 was set in motion by BSKBA executive committee members by lighting the traditional lamp. Members Saroja Sathyanarayana, P C N Rao, Lohitha Rao, Aruna Achar, Shalini and others taught craft making using colored paper. Anjana Rao taught drawing of Rangoli and Sahana Pothi taught singing of Bhajans. Ananta Padmanabha Pothi taught the power of Vedic maths. Prashanth Herle took the children outdoors every morning and made them do physical exercises. Sahana Bharadwaj in her own unique way taught lessons with play. Rachitha Rao taught preparation of Jat Pat Chat and made the children glad.

BSKB Association president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel presided over the concluding ceremony of the camp on Sunday evening June 12. Speaking on the occasion he praised the enthusiasm shown by the youth wing at the camp and hoped that more children may benefit by it in the days to come. He congratulated the children and volunteers who helped with the camp. He distributed prizes to all the children who participated and congratulated them.

Youth wing convener Deepak Shivathaya and parents of the participating children welcomed. Vinodini Rao described the activities held at the two days camp. Umesh Rao helped with his donations for prizes. The
camp was a success, with the wholehearted cooperation of the youth wing and women's wing.
