Shop burns down at night - owner suffers heavy losses

Bantwal, Jun 18: A shop located by the side of Kalayi Road at Bhandaribettu here caught fire at around 11.30 pm on Thursday June 16. All the items inside the shop were turned into ashes by the flames.

It is being claimed that short circuit ignited fire inside the shop. Two freezers, a refrigerator, a oven and many other equipment and things including stationery items were charred.

B Mooda village accountant, Basavaraj Sanadi, local municipal councillor,Jagadish Kunder, and others visited the site. Loss due to fire is estimated at five lac rupees. A case was registered about this in the town police station here.
