Mumbai, Jun 20: Rajaka Sangha held their 79th annual general body meeting at Swami Nithyananda auditorium, Sion east on Sunday afternoon, June 19. President Sathish Salian who presided over the
meeting lit the traditional lamp together with former president Poova M Salian and office bearers and set the meeting in progress.

Special invitees, Rajaka Sangha Dubai president Ananda Salian, Mulki Madiwala Sangha president Sanjeeva Madiwala, Karkal Sathish Madiwala Kukkundooru were present. Honorary secretary Ramesh B Madiwal read the minutes of the previous annual meeting. Joint secretary Sarojini D Kunder gave the details of the activities during the previous year. Joint treasurer Vijay V Kunder presented the accounts of the previous year. Elections for president and working committee for 2016-18 were held later. Sathish S Salian was unanimously reelected president.

Vice president of the Sangha, Harish V Salian, joint treasurer Dinesh V Kunder, women's wing executive president Shubha D Gujaran, youth wing president Ronak Kunder, library heads Sumithra R Palimar and
Shashank Salian, Subhash S Salian, Prakash S Kunder, internal auditors Poovani Salian and Pradeep Kunder, local committee Navi Mumbai honorary president Narayana Kunder, president Kiran Kunder, Vasai executive president Devendra Bannan, western committee executive president Ashok Kunder, Madhya committee executive president Prabhakar Salian and others were present. Community students were distributed annual scholarships during the interval. Talented students were presented certificates, mementos and flower bouquets.

Members Balaraj Bangera, D R Salian, Tukaram Madiwala, Sumitra Palimar and Pandu Madiwala spoke, expressed their opinions and gave suggestions.

The meeting started with prayers from Dombivli committee women. Joint treasurer Dinesh N Kunder welcomed everybody. A silent prayer was said for the departed members and well wishers. Ramesh B Madiwal proposed the vote of thanks.
