Bantwal, Jun 21: A youth who had been injured in the macabre accident which occurred on June 10 at Valachil near here after a container truck jumped the road divider and hit a Maruti car and an auto rickshaw moving on the other side, lost his life on Sunday June 19 night. He was being treated in a private hospital at Mangaluru.
19-year-old Zameer, son of Abdul Khader and Mumtaz couple from Nandavara village, breathed his last at the hospital. With his death, the number of people who lost their lives in this accident has risen to six. Five persons had died in this accident, which occurred after the container truck moved away from its lane and reached the opposite lane. Three were injured including Zameer, and all of them were admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru.
