Brazilian goalkeeper Helton leaves Porto after 11 seasons


Lisbon, Jun 29 (IANS): Brazilian goalkeeper Helton has terminated his contract with Porto after 11 football seasons at the Portuguese club.

The club on Tuesday announced that the decision had been taken by common agreement between Porto management and Helton, reports Efe.

The 38-year-old had a contract with Porto until June 2017.

Helton, who began his career with the Brazilian Vasco da Gama, arrived at Porto in the 2005-2006 season after passing through the Portuguese Uniao de Leiria.
