Mangalore, Jun 30: Shivanagouda and Kusuma B, students of Vikas PU College, here have won gold and silver medals respectively at the International Yoga Championship organized on June 27 at Bengaluru.

The students are disciples of Yoga guru, Gopalakrishna Delampady. They are also members of the Yoga and Color Therapy club of Vikas PU College.

Yogarathna Delampady was felicitated at Vikas PU College by the chairman, Krishna J Palemar. Speaking to the gathering of students and teachers, Delampady said, "Yoga is the key for well being. I am very happy to be associated with Vikas College. This college has a repute not only for excelling in academics, but also in yoga, well being and extra curricular activities."

The winners, Shivanagouda and Kusuma were also felicitated. They thanked Vikas management and yoga guru for all the support extended to help them win at the International Yoga Championship.

The programme was compered by lecturer in Sanskrit Laxmish Bhat. Advisor Dr Ananth Prabhu G, vice principal Mohana R and other staff members were present.
