Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Central School holds investiture ceremony

Mangaluru, Jul 1: The inaugural ceremony of the school cabinet of Mount Carmel Central School for the year 2016-17 was held on July 1 at the school auditorium. The chief guest for the occasion was Harinath M, mayor of Mangaluru City Corporation.























It was a day of immense importance. The programme began by seeking the Almighty’s blessings in granting the school's leaders courage and will to lead the school to great heights. The cabinet Leaders too took part in the prayer service by singing a melodious prayer song.

The investiture ceremony commenced with a caring dialogue between the Alma Mater and the cabinet leaders during which the Alma Mater entrusted them with their responsibilities and encouraged them to work together for the development of the school and to be true to the school motto: Higher and Nobler.

The principal Sr Melissa administered the oath to the head boy, Chinmaya H N of class XII and head girl, Roshna Narayan of Class X A. The other cabinet ministers were sworn in whereby they pledged to serve the school and keep up its prestige to the best of their ability. The house leaders promised to instill the values upheld by their respective houses in the members of their house.

The chief guest then addressed the students. He congratulated the leaders and empowered them to be dedicated in their work and cooperate with each other for the betterment and growth of the school and its students. He motivated the leaders to inculcate the values of justice, truth and dedication among the cabinet as well as the other students.

Roshna Narayan welcomed the gathering and Chinmaya H N proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Rebecca Albuquerque and Pratheeksha.

The cabinet inaugural ceremony was facilitated by veteran teachers of the school, Silvia Benis and Vidya Rai. The programme in its expression and style was inspiring and will be remembered for the rest of the year. At the end, the school anthem was sung by all with zest and emotion indicating their love and loyalty to the Alma Mater.
