It's good to know that at last District BJP MP's & MLA's along with the people started agitating against the Railways. All people sould join the agitation led by M.P. Sadananda Gowda. It's the Congress which ruled the state for 60 years didn't do anything for the people of Dakshina Kannada. We are totally depending on the projects & roads laid by the British. After independence we didn't get anything except terrorism & divisions (caste, religion) in the people in our country due to the negligence of Congress Governments. Contry's change of guard should change ASAP.

It is a good move to remind the politicians of their responsibility.Hope that the crooked politicians will not highjack the whole movement. Many more religious people must join this. It is also good to see that the religious leaders have realized their social responsibilities. The leaders of the movement must keep the ever smiling politicians at a long distance, if the movement has to succeed.

Indeed the situation of Mangalore/Dakshina Kannada seems to be really precarious!!! It is a wonder how such a powerful district in Karnataka is not able to get the train moving on the rails even when everything is ready and inspite of repeated representation? Are we a people who take everything lying down and no one cares about us? The transportation between Mangalore and Bangalore in utter disarray - all the approaches through all the ghats are in a horrendous condition and the railways all set for chugging off is not happening!!! Does anyone care? I should say P V Mohan does. thanks to him

It's really most unfortunate that this important link has not been restored despite the assurances of several politicians. As long as Mangalore is under Palghat Divsion (Which is under Southern Railway Chennai ) , no amount of meetings, bunds , protests, requests are going to help.

Its really good to see that now lots of people are coming forward and raising there voice against the Railway boards injustice towards South canara district. but its really funny to see all the politicians coming in front and supporting. i am sure that now they got time as they found they cant form government with JDS, the only option now left for them is to do some sort of show off and get free publicity. Anyway good for us if there protest gets some good response and resolves the current railway issue.

It's very unfair on part of Union Railway Minister & Railway Dept., when such a up coming city with Infosy's & Industries is not supported with a starting train between two major business centres (Mangalore - Bangalore)
