Mumbai, Jul 25: The city's Billavara Association assistant subcommittee held a blood donation and health checkup camp at Santacruz Billavara Association on Sunday July 24. Association president Nithyananda D
Kotian and social worker Chandravathi E Suvarna lit the traditional lamp and set the programme in motion.
Nearly 195 units blood was collected from 200 donors in the camp held under the cooperation of Goregaon Prabhodan Takre Blood Bank. Blood bank medical official Dr Asha Padwi congratulated the association for holding the camp. It was unique as more than 80 members of association Sevadal donated blood.
Raksha Hospital doctors held a health checkup camp. Well known heart specialist in the city, Dr Pranav S Kabra, eye specialist Dr Sham Agarwal, Dr Sadanand R Shetty, ENT specialist Dr Suresh Poojary and others present in the camp conducted blood pressure, thyroid, diabetes, cholesterol, ECG, ENN, BMD and several other tests.
