Mumbai, Sep 9: Maharashtra Konkan Association held annual Monti celebrations at Divine Child nursery auditorium, Amboli, Andheri west on September 8. St Francis Xavier Church parish priest Fr Hubert
Goveas blessed the paddy corn and offered holy mass.





































In the celebrations held later, Mangalorean Catholic Welfare Association president Stany Saldanha, entrepreneurs Pramila V Mathais, Clement Lobo, Herald Castelino and association president Benedicta B
Rebello were present on the dais.

Rocky D’Cunha welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. Convener Leo Fernandes Jerimeri explained the significance of the feast and proposed the vote of thanks. Some members presented musical items while the women’s wing presented dances.

Pure vegetarian meals were prepared for the children of the orphanage and the people along with new blessed corn. Sugarcane was distributed at the end of the programme.
