Mumbai, Sep 27:Chembur Karnataka Sangha president, advocate H K Sudhakar has said that a Law College under the aegis of the Sangha will be started from the next academic year. “Science and commerce departments present at the Junior college and Arts department will be opened from next year. A children's library will be started for pre-primary, nursery and school children to promote education in society,” he said.

He spoke after presiding over the 61st annual meeting of the Sangha held at Chembur Vidyasagar auditorium on Sunday September 25 morning. Vice president Prabhakar B Bolar and joint treasurer Sunder N Kotian were present on the dais. Former president Jaya N Shetty lit the traditional lamp and set the meeting in motion. Prior to the meeting the school children sang a prayer song. Honorary chief secretary Ranjan Kumar R Ameen welcomed the gathering and presented the previous year's accounts. Six members were elected for the working committee for the year 2016-17.

Working committee members Vishwanatha S Shenava, Gunakar H Hegde, Madhukar G Bailur, Sudhakar Anchan, Mohan S Kanchan, Ashok Salian, Jaya M Shetty, Sudheer Putran, Sanjiv S Shetty and several other members were present. Jayalaxmi Holla, Milind Nada Gowda, Hilda Lobo, T R Shetty, Dayasagar Chowta and others among the audience spoke and expressed their opinions. Joint secretary Devadas K Shettigar proposed the Vote of thanks.
