Mumbai: Teacher's Day celebrated at VPM school

Mumbai, Sep 27: Vidya Prasaraka Mandala in Mulund held their Teachers Day celebrations on September 27. Chief guest Dr Milind lit the traditional lamp. In the discussions held at the programme, he explained the cause of knee joint pain and how to get them treated.

Mandala vice president Dr K Mohan who presided over the programme administered the VPM oath to all the teachers. He said that only teachers can inculcate discipline, creativity and ensure all round development of knowledge among students. “The profession of teachers holds a huge responsibility for the bright future of students. They are promoters of an ideal nation,” he said.

The programme began with verses. B H Katti was present. Principals, headmasters, teachers, supervisors and non teaching staff from Balavadi to university level from Mulund and Airoli schools were present.

Teacher S Vidya introduced the guests. Inspector Laxmi Ramalingam compered the programme. Several education related competitions were held for teachers. The programme concluded with the national anthem.
