Kundapur, Sep 29: A lady teacher within Kota police station limits has accused Rama, her neighbour of questionable character of mentally harassing her, through indecent remarks showing money while she is on her way to and from work. She had submitted her complaint to Kota police station where SI Kabbalraj is the police officer. However, it is reported that the SI has refused to register an FIR in the case.

The lady, teaching at a local college is the wife of Joseph Lazarus. Joseph, who has been staying with his wife and young daughter at Roods Colony, Manooru, Kota since 1967. earns his living through sale of electronic items. Initially the lady had not informed her husband about the harassment so as to avoid fights. However, she told her husband later who then confronted Rama. But Rama threatened to kill Joseph and then Joseph went to complain at Kota police station that Rama had hurled stones on his jeep.

Joseph said that Rama and SI Kabbalraj were chit chatting at the police station when Joseph went to lodge a complaint. The SI refused to register a complaint but instead asked him to get the teacher to the station. When Joseph questioned the SI the reason for this, it is reported that the SI threatened to register a counter-case against him.

Abhimani Sports Club president Santhosh Kumar Shetty has warned that a protest will be held with the aggrieved family in front of the office of the deputy commissioner if the woman does not get justice.
