Bengaluru, Oct 30: Addressing a press conference at the party office in the city on Saturday October 29, state president of SDPI, Abdul Hannan, claimed that his party has nothing to do with the arrested accused  for murdering a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist, Rudresh from Shivajinagar here.

Hannan reiterated that his party is strongly opposed to violence in any form. He condemned the said murder, and criticized BJP for dragging the name of SDPI for  every murder happening in the state. "As per information, police have found during investigation that the said murder was  committed because of personal reasons. But RSS and BJP have been trying to reap political benefit out of this murder," he stated. He pointed out that the BJP had accused his party for the death of Kuttappa at Madikeri during Tipu Jayanti there last year, although he had died when running away from the caning of police, and slipping and falling down to death when running. He said that the RSS and BJP are angry at his party for uncovering their bad deeds in front of the public. "We know about their role right from the death of Mahatma Gandhi to the death of Praveen Poojary in Dakshina Kannada district," he commented.

President of SDPI city unit, Fayaz Ahmed, vice president, Gangappa, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike corporator, Mujahid Pasha, Mysuru corporator, S Samy, and many other leaders were present.
