Mumbai: Former MLA Dr Ramesh Y Prabhu passes away

Mumbai, Dec 12: Former MLA of Maharashtra, former mayor, renowned doctor, social worker, Shiv Sena party leader, Dr Ramesh Yashwanth Prabhu, 78 passed away here on December 11 after a brief illness.

He was the resident of Prabhu Ghar, Hanuman Nagar, Vile Parle. He has left behind two sons, one daughter and son in law Krishna S Hegde, who was a Congress MLA.

The dead body of Prabhu was kept at Prabhodhankar Thakeray Sports Club complex on Shahaji Raje Road. Hundreds of elite paid their last respects. The last rites of the deceased were held at Parsiwada crematorium in the morning of December 11.
