Bengaluru, Dec 26: A six-year-old boy Vikram died at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden in Bengaluru on Monday afternoon while posing for a photograph.

The boy was posing for the photograph near a pillar, when a stone fell on him and the boy succumbed to the injury.

Vikram was visiting the Lalbagh botanical garden along with his aunt and three cousins, all whom are residents of Srirampura in Bengaluru.

The boy was leaning on a pillar, which had blocks of stones stacked on top of each other, posing for a picture. One of the stone fell on him and he succumbed to the injury.

"After the incident, passers-by stood there and took photos instead of helping,’’ said Velu Kumar, Vikram’s uncle.

He said: ''It was only later that someone helped and shifted Vikram to a hospital.”

Vikram, according to the bereaved family, was an active child and a good student. He was studying in BharatiyaVidyalaya Corporation School in Sriramapura.

The boy’s body has been kept in KIMS. The family has decided to donated Vikram’s eyes, kidney and heart.

Siddapura police have registered a case.

Last year, a seven-year-old girl was attacked by a swarm of bees when she was visiting the garden with her parents. She died of the injuries at a hospital later.

Very tragic and sad.mostly it is a pity that people whowere taking a foto where a boy was struggling for his life are not normal.in such cases acase should be filed for not helping ,but filing without permission. On the other hand the authoritys from the botanic garden for not having enough security in garden and people who visit are in life threat. They should pay a heavy compansation to the family.why allow people inside without proper security?Heartfelt sympathy to the family.A noble act from them to donate his organs.May his innocent soul be with angels.

What a sad end for a promising boy.One can never say anything about the future of any one.

This is a warning to the people in charge of the botanical gardens not to stack stones which endanger the lives of people.

What a noble gesture on the part of the parents to donate the organs of the child.

I think that parents have a case which they can file against the authorities.
