Mangaluru, Feb 9: The annual day of Mahesh College of Commerce and Management was celebrated on February 4 at Urwa Church Centenary Hall, Ladyhill.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest of the programme, V K Shetty, managing director, Karnataka Fisheries Development Corporation, stressed on the need to choose the right field after graduation, so that students succeed in accomplishing their dreams. Sujith Kumar, trustee, Mt Educare Charitable Trust, presided over the function. 

He congratulated the students on achieving good results and earning laurels for the college by participating in various intercollegiate competitions. The college annual magazine for the year 2016-17 was released by Narayan Shetty, guest of honour from Mumbai.

Professor Herald Fernandes, the principal, presented the report for the various activities conducted in the college. Convener of the programme, Mareena Seema Sequeira, welcomed the guests. Mohammed Muvaffak, president of the students’ council rendered the vote of thanks. This was followed by a cultural extravaganza, by the students who showcased their talents through various dance forms and songs depicting the diverse culture of the country.
